idyl update - IDYL Docs

Update the IDYL CLI to the newest release on its channel. An install made with the install script updates itself: after a command, idyl looks for a new release at most once an hour and installs it in the background, and the new version runs from the next command. Run this command to update now. An install made with a package manager is updated by that package manager; this command prints the command to run. Every release is verified before it is installed: the channel statement and the release manifest must be signed by a key this build trusts, and the binary must match the manifest. idyl never installs a version older than the one running. —channel switches a script install between stable (the default) and latest (every release), remembers the choice and updates now; switching to stable keeps the running version until stable passes it. —auto on|off turns background updates on or off and remembers it; for a Homebrew or winget install, on lets idyl run that package manager’s upgrade in the background when a new stable release is out.

Flags

`--channel <string>`	Switch a script install to this channel, stable or latest, and update now.

`--homedir <string>`	Override the configuration directory. Defaults to ~/.config/idyl.

`--network <string>`	Override the Network for this command.
`-p <string>, --profile <string>`	Override the access profile for this command.
`-s <string>, --subnet <string>`	Subnet to use for this command, overriding the current context.
